Roof Lining sagging - can you recommend a trimmer?

Has anyone had their roof lining and the uprights repaired and retrimmed and if so, can you recommend a trimmer and let me know what it cost please?

    How "handy " are you?
Search headliner on Range Rovers and there's a full run down on how to do your own...
Don't know sydney prices, but I removed the "card", cleaned off the lining and dry glue then took it to a trimmer who reupholstered it and the sliding roof sunshade for around $150 all up. Took me about 45 mins to put it back in the vehicle.

    cheers

I had my classic roof done by Jeff Squires, Motor Trimmer of Peakhurst, some years ago. Probably a decade and it has held up well. Was about $450 back then.

Whatever you do don't try to glue the material back on or use serrated pins as it will make more work and potentially spoil the job.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

$110 to do the roof and sunroof here in Sydney. I didn't do anything except remove it and refit it. He did all the cleaning. I had it done last year (or was it this year) by a mob in Granville but I can't remember their name.

Do a search on this forum and you'll find the post.

While the pillar trims were out, I removed all the flocking and left them as clean plastic. They look good - certainly better than they did.

I just got a quote from a trimmer up here on the Northern Beaches:

$440 inc GST for the roof
$154 inc GST for the sunroof
Drive in at 8 in the morning and pick up at 5 the same day.

Tossing up whether to remove it all myself etc or just let him do it. (being time poor and all that...)

    AA Motor Trimming in Granville:

I've had two done there (RRC & P38) and a mate had his D2 done there as well.

    Hey Ron,
how long did it take to remove and refit?
$110 seems mighty cheap for the roof and sunroof... might be a trip to Granville on the cards...

    I just rang "Granville":
$330 for him to do it all, or $130 if I take it off and give it to him for a couple of days. He said he doesnt do sunroofs...

I really need to do mine. I had a go at my Falcon ute. Doing a repair, not replacement. It didn't turn out so well. The glue seemed to soak through the material.

I might give this one a go. And do it properly. I can only screw it up

I can't recall how long it took. Not long - say a couple of hours. I can post some pics to assist in removing bits. Check (in my case I replaced) the sunroof water drain pipes whilst the roof is out.

He did my sunroof but I did remove the panel and took it with me. A mistake I made was not removing the finger grip in the sunroof. Do that so they don't do a bodge around it.
