Current hobby - other riders?

Well while I am playing the waiting game to get my rangie on the road (Waiting on the phone with Vicroads now lol) I thought I'd share my other road hobby.

Currently my full time ride is a 2001 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300cc GSXR.

Its my speed freak toy, last dyno was 176.9HP mesure at the back wheel, bike weighs in @ 205 ~ 210kg dry.

mods include a gear position sensor mod so I use the most powerful ECU mapping I have - it also allows me to go over the 290kph speed limit if I want to...
Recently fitted a full pipe system which should see an extra 10HP
bits of bling.. but needs to be spray painted again coz the paint keeps chipping off
Braided break lines
oh and the sticker kit is special as well - light reflective
anyway.. PICS!

I race my SV650S at club level, good fun and my first race for the year is at Phillip Island on the 12th of April.

And to replace the SV I lashed out and bought an Aprilia Tunono R.

thats awesome with teh sv650 there I like the Tunono's - have sat on them & wouldn't mind test riding one... one day

Macman - I can be a speed freak lol but I agree - I do like taking it all in at times as well. Probly more classed as a sports rider I guess - but with a dodgy wrist from an RGV stroker - I can't ride the super sport 1000cc bikes.

Glad to see a few other riders among us tho

Razzor, I ride but not in to sports bike but I must say I think that is the sexiest bike I have ever seen. It's just gorgeous. and it looks how a sports bike should look.

I have a GSXR 750 I got new in 1996, I used to do ride days but not in ages. I went away on a shooting trip recently and all the others had dirt bikes, worse still they all let me ride them, ktm, DR, XR etc. The property had a makeshift motocross track and I had a good workout, now I feel I could be looking at getting a dirt bike again. I haven t had one in a few years.

I ride too.

Done the sportsbike thing and am now into the dirt touring. Getting more into just dirt now so sold my 950 KTM for a DR650.

No offence, but whilst the ol' Busas are renowned for their durability, performance and stability, they've never been particularly renowned for their looks! A case of aerodynamic function over form (which is to be respected in a way).

Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and even Julia Gillard was rated as 'sexy' in a recent mag - Ralph or FHM I think...

Lovely bikes....I've had trail bikes and enjoyed dirt riding Yamaha's and a Montessa, a Bultaco, then Road bikes for years, Honda's Triumphs, beemers and harleys and am currently between bikes.
Actually my wife has banned me but it's less painful to pretend I'm just between bikes.
