Thread: spat out!

Well,, what can I say---
The Donald 500 basically chewed us up and spat us out,, 3 times we dusted ourselves off and got going again but 4 was the magic number.
The weekend started badly when we caught the car in front in the Prologue and basically went downhill from there,, a flat(on a BRAND new rear) and two broken axels was enough for us.
So we basically came away with nothing to show for our effort, not even a lap time to compare.
I took a couple of pics of Nevilles (NOT the one I was in--) new american car to show you where the sport is heading,,

These are 4"King Kong shocks,, its hard to accept how big these are,, around 4' long
when fully extended,,




These are the FRONT tyre of choice it seems,,
around 14" across and 37" tall,,



some guy in the states spent one week making these pipes work,, and its a LS1 built by Wiks(Wilks?) racing engines,, it was "freshened up" for the trip down under at a cool 40,000 usa dollars,,,

That exhaust was interesting to watch...
Imagine after hard throttle, then lift off...
All that overfuelling results in about two feet of flames, straight down to the ground!!!
