Mountain Biking / Cycling

Noticed a few people into Mountain Biking on here at times and wondered what sort of bikes people were riding. I have a Trek ex7 after destroying a Cannondale Scalpel and a Trek Madone 5.5 for the road.
cheers JP

Recently treated myself to a Scott Scale 40 hardtail.

Well, it was my birthday. And I am getting a tax return (I think).

I ride

Got myself a Cannondale (Team Saeco replica) with Dura Ace, carbon cranks, seat post and bar for the road (I love this bike).

Also got a Specialized S-Works dual suspension mountain bike (equipped with the 'Brain') for the dirty stuff. I also love this bike.

Unfortuantely I have had back problems for the last 18 months and only just started back on the pushy after a break of 12 months.

Man, it's hard to get the legs going again.

i bought myself a GT tempest back in '92. really good alloy frame but everything else on it was steel. over the years it got a set of really early rockshocks, alloy headstock, cranks, wheels, seatpost, and carbon fibre bars bringing it down to about 13 kg.
all i need is a bit of enthusiasm to get back on it.

Giant Trance 2 2007 .... wish I had it last week... went to Scotland for a holiday with my family and rode the Ben Nevis XC 2008 championship course at Fort William with my 13yo son... what a blast, but rode on hired cannondales (we did take our clips though which made the uphills and jumps easier...)

Got some nice LR shots whilst in Scotland - you could hardly not miss them!

I've got an 08 Giant Reign Zero for when I want to go quick, and a Cannondale Gemini 1000 with Boxxer Triple clamps for when I want to go down quick...or am feeling lazy and want to have an arm chair ride.
