I have posted this in my 'members ride thread' but thought I would repost here to make it easier to find for anyone looking at a new dash. The install is into a 1984 Ninety.

With the install of lockers, compressor and spotties the addition 4 more switches, to an already cluttered dash, meant it was time for a tidy up. So on the weekend I installed my raptor dash console. Ordered it from the UK with a couple of custom cuts.
Placing the order to it arriving was less than a week and the build quality is impressive.

Here is the dash before i started:

There was a bit of a mix of dials with some of them in the center and some of them in the main instrument cluster so the first job was to move the ones i wanted back.

Once all of those were out of the way i attached the template (that I had stuck onto some card) and cut away the soft layer using a stanly knife.

Next up i attacked the metal with the angle grinder using the cut out section as a guide:

Once cut I put the new dash in place to check the fit. I also learnt that I should have filed away the sharp edges first, but only after a couple of nice cuts to my fingers!

For power I have run a fairly heavy gauge wire directly from my battery and into the 'block' screwed down to the dash, from this I will run the power to all the switches and UHF. All of the wires I have soldered and used heat shrink to try and keep it neat. For switches running things like the compressor and spot lights I have used relays.

Finally I connected everything up, and added the annodised instrument surround to tie it in to the car a bit nicer.
I have to say that i am very pleased with the result!
