    Defender 130 HCPU Rock Sliders

    Hi All

    Been thinking about these for a while now and after getting some pricing on Terrafirma ones, I decided to make them myself.

    Had some time off work today, so off the steel shop for some 50mm x 75mm x 3mm RHS Duragal and I used some 32 x 5 flat and 50 x 5 flat I had lying around at home.

    I removed the existing sill panels (which I will put up for sale) and trimmed the rounded quarter panel at the front of tub yeterday. So this afternoon, after about 3 hours of cutting welding and grinding...I have a result. Tomorrow I plan on drilling holes in the slider supports to mtach the existing holes in the 3 outriggers and the bulk head bolt

    Update....more measuring, cutting grinding welding, drilling and finally painting...and one side is ready to be mounted...

    Paint now dry....Drivers side slider mounted onto chassis. Probably spent about 5 hours on it. Now for the Passenger side....

    Time to 'pipe in' though as I plan another 130 in my not-too-distant future (one hopes)
