How do you find the time to be playing with the internet with all that cooking & cleaning to do?

Great job there, I've been giving thoughts to a sub too, the 4x 4" speakers juuuuust don't quite do it for me

Do you think there would be enough room left over to squeeze in a small aux battery? as this is where I'd like to put one to run the fridge.

My only concern is it looks a bit light weight and having heavy things on top of it may bend or break the top cover over time. How big are your dogs?

Where did you get the carpet from. I want to re cover mine (although mine has a grey interior). My draws looked great when I bought the car but the material covering them is a bit lightweight for my abuse.
depends which pics you are looking at as the first pics posted the top wood is thin if you look at the most recent pics the top wood is thick as i decided to change it, only reason i had the thin wood was because of the space allowed by the speaker grill.........but then i brought a router and did the edges which aloud me to put thicker wood on with out it interfering with the speakers......the top is a strong as i can sit on it with out it bowing so i think it should last ok......the carpet came from the deparment of interior.....but you could probably get grey carpet anywhere its alittle harder to try and get a match with the beige, and i wanted closest match possible......

not sure what you mean, but if you only put one sub in the other side could house a battery maybe??? do you have a dog guard in also??

i lost a bit a space by having my'n but not the end of the world as that is where my 2 amps that run all my speakers are set up

that was a concern and well still is quite frankly but pedro you cant have bling with out sacrifice........just couldn't bare to put those bloody ugly black grills on they just remind me of old dj disco equipment

I did notice the thicker board in the later photos but I put it down to the thickness of the carpet.

As for your side catches to hold the draw in, the only problems I have seen with them is the ****y little screws they come with. They always fall out over time. So if you used better quality screws then I'm sure they will give you good service.

mmmmmmm I'd love a router.

I'm greedy. I want to keep one bin completely free and fit an 8" sub on only one side but try to squeeze a battery in there as well. Looks like your sub is mounted reasonably high, so that gave me the idea this may be possible. Guess I'll just have to measure it all up & see what's what. Full drawer system to come but sheesh you run out of room in a D1 real quick.
I do have a milford sitting in the garage I haven't fitted yet, my fridge is going to be a very tight squeeze with the cago barrier fitted.

yeh i mounted my subs quite high due to the fact that the sub as actually boxed in........the front of the box follows the line of the car i.e the wheel arches but at the back its actually a box needs to be to get good quality sound out of it........but in doing this i actually had a small space for the sub to fit in and as most know for a sub to work correctly it need the correct literidge of space...........so i comprmised beacuse the box was small in which the sub is housed i filled it with acoustic foam, which in turn tricks the sub into thinking its in a bigger box is all down to the reveberation etc etc.......i still haven't got the sizes right but they are better.

funny as a few laughed at me for fitting 8" subs but one i think they are a nice size for the back.....and 2 i got a really nice bass going through the car nice and crsip not that long drawn out doooooooooooooooon that you can hear 40 blocks away, comsidering i'm still running 4" speakers all round i think they all compliment each other quite well..... if i upgraded my subs to 10's i would have to upgrade my 4's for sure they would get drowned out

It looks really good and with the plastic boxes would be light.

I personally wouldnt bother with the subs as we can never agree on what to listen to, I want Adam Brand and she want Robbie Williams, so no need for subs, the 6 stacker rarely gets used.
