Having a few probs uploading, still can't get it right.
This is after week 1
Doors, roof, floorboards, rear of gearbox & front hub removed. pic of rear output shaft that caused the rollover, it is a 5.7 litre donk after all.
I purchased a rolled over 1985 County that had the works including a 350 chev fully engineered and wanted to swap the good bits from my County over to this one.
The firewall has what I describe as minor damage so it will remain.
I intend to do this over a fairly long period, so I will only update this when significant work is achieved.
The rolled County was stripped out of fuel tanks, seats, wheel carrier, bullbar etc but the workmanship is aircraft standard, so I have diverted from wanting to put the engine from the rolled one into mine to putting the windscreen, body etc over to the new purchase. For ease of identity I think I'll call them red and white.

Firewall straightened & back to bare chassis at rear
Gas tanks and fuel tanks swapping over are the next job
stripey apron time
I like the hand winch + oxy technique for straightening it out
Well, I got sidetracked- again. I got cold feet when it came to pulling my County apart, so for $350, I bought a series 3 off a wrecker. That way I can put the cab & tray on the project County, take her for a spin or two, and if I'm happy, then probably get stuck into the county body and put it over. Decisions, decisions..

The series 3 arrived home, now I gotta remember how I maximised these pics ???
I'll try to post one of the chassis
OK here is the stripped down series 3
GRRRRR I think this puta is pulling my chain
Cabin fits the existing brackets ok, i just needed to reverse the brackets that normally hold the back of the floor.
See arrows
This gives an extra 150mm of cabin space, however I need to extend the cabin, canopy & roof.
Marking out the side panel, I will use a rear panel as infill.
Hopefully these upload ok

OK, I think I've got this picture stuff down pat.
I grafted the cabin over by reversing some brackets. This gives an extra 150mm cabin space, but now I have to add some fill in to the cabin. Pics are -
cabin in place
1 of the brackets is reversed to illustrate.
Marking out where to cut
