    Thanks for that info.

At Gapuwiyak they only carry Glycol type coolants in their garage and who knows what gets topped up during a service. Sharon's current TD5 Defender has had a Glycol based coolant in the system for about 7 years now, without any ill effect.

There have been a number of threads about this previously, and I am quite comfortable about using it in the 130. The problem is when the 2 different products mixed , the coolant turns into sludge.

I must admit I run OAT in both our D2 and Defender down here in Sydney.

    Erich.

Ahhhh, just spent an hour uploading photos. I wish i had a quicker computer.

Heres some pics of the new equipment.

    amp

6x9s (these are meant to be pretty good ones?)

    Subs

And making it all fit. I HATE WOODWORKING! give me a welder anyday.

The real annoying thing is this is all hidden behind the seat.

I have done almost all the wiring for the amps, speakers and subs, i am just awaiting the delivery of the head unit. It should be here monday.

A nice new father gave us some cool extras aswell. They will suit it nicely

    What about the dog?

Naa, thanks mate, dads putting in some time on this, he was out there at 6 thismorning blocking back the roof. I'm starting to feel guilty for coming up with the plan/proposal. Almost.

Cougar is a dog, a little confused as most dogs are about their place in the family (our 3 are for sure), but still a dog.

In that pic of cougar and Sheila, didn't see any degreaser on Cougar's tail so I doubt if she was really helping

    Cheers, Paul.

No worries...I have often wondered why Andy named a dog after a cat...or maybe after a drink.... all those years ago

What a frustrating day. Weather forecast was for fine sunny day with a chance of a late thunderstorm.

Great day for painting AT LAST !!

We readied the panels, prepsoled them, mixed the paint when the weather warmed up a bit - around 9.30am.

Mixed the paint - it looked a bit greyer than I thought, but decided to coat the panels and see if it lightened up in drying.

Well - the paint was the wrong colour so I took the paint back to the supplier and 1 hour later I had what should be OK.

When I got home, just after lunch, the sky clouded over fully but it was still quite warm. I put on another 2 coats with a 20 minute break between each. Then waited for another 20 minutes for the final coat before the clear coat .... then the skies opened up Lucky I used a very fast hardener so I think all will still be OK with another coat of colour.

The intention was for 3 coats of 2 pack colour topped with 3 coats of 2 pack clear

    Erich
