Australian CSKs - where are they?

Does anyone know how many CSKs made their way to Australia?

I have always loved the look of the Classic Rangies and the CSK epitomises that elegance. I believe that CSK #11 is an AU citizen and is in show condition - is the owner an aulro member?

I would love to restore a CSK one day but methinks that is a pipe dream...

    Shonky,
    Nice aren't they!
I seem to remember there was an Australian CSK with 4 doors - not really a true CSK though. I recall seeing a Black 2 door for sale in Melbourne a couple of years back for about $25K - I'm sure there are a couple around.

Edit - just found this on your link:
"There were 400 Australian-specification CSK's made at the same time, in emulation, but they were based on the standard four-door Vogue SE equipped with a coachline and a logo."

There is one here on the Gold Coast... he was down at Cooma as well but missed out on the award. Lucky bugger also used to have a 101. Not a member of aulro as far as i know.

Is going up for sale from memory around the 25k mark in almost immaculate condition if interested

    Yer spotted that earlier Paul.

I haven't ever seen any of those either - has anyone on here got a CSKounterfeit?

...and I could put a Toyota engine in my Series II and it would look the same to the untrained eye!

You and I would know better though - and I couldn't live with that!

I will trawl the Cooma pics for a shot of it!

I am very interested, but at the moment I am wondering how I am going to afford my train ticket home so I think the CSK will have to wait.

A few years ago I saw a black 2 door around Albert Park and South Melbourne a couple of times.

i'm pretty sure i saw one in lorne about 5 years ago on british number plates. it must have been on a temporary import permit.
to be honest i think they look a bit 'pikey' with those wheels and the chrome bumper etc.
interesting to note the parts catalogue indicates proof of ownership is required in order to purchase the csk decals and striping.
