L/R 179-506 GIVEN AWAY

About 18 months ago I discovered a late ser 2a in a back yard about 5 minutes away from where I live complete with a No 5 trailer the Landrover is in near pristine condition, very original and unrestored I am lead to believe. Last week I get a phone call from the owner asking if I could get him a fuel pump for it, as he has given it to the local Boy Scouts ( THATS RIGHT GIVEN) complete with trailer When I first found it I tried to buy it and would have sold my Ser3 to help pay for it. The wiring loom is perfect the owner was going to pull it out and rewire it until I showed him what one in poor condition looked like, he replaced the carby with a brand new one why ? the vehicle has only done 20 odd All the upholstery is still very good and original The canopy and tyres are not original Paint is good
Any way i am still crying but hope to get over it soon
I have inquired as to what is the cut off age for joining the boy scouts, but 65 they say is too old even for a leader can any one advise me how to join

I doubt that the Scouts will have a use for it, but they are always desperate for cash to upgrade and maintain their gear.

Point out to them what a nasty dangerous thing it is for transporting kiddies and make them an offer they can't refuse

Cheers Charlie

The years are getting away from you Kevin, I took some pictures at your place of this vehicle and they are dated September 2004.

If they haven't yet done their good deed for the day, giving it to you gratis seems a great place to start.
