Is Brian got one he wants to part with? I did not think he wanted to part with them only the 2 hes got for sale. I know he wants to bring one down to Esperance for Cadets. Only speaking to Brian a few weeks ago.
MM got me thinking. Dont want to spend a fortune, preferablly a fixer upper me and the kids can work on. Thanks Tommy. |

Brian has a rear ambulance body that he would like to sell. If you can pick up an ex army S2A GS, you can then remove the rear tub and fit the ambo body ![]() This is what the previous owner did with the S3 GS/ambo in this thread.

G'day All, There are quite a few items specific to fitting a 4 Stretcher Ambulance body to a GS 2A 109 chassis, granted the chassis's share the same dimensions but with all the extra bits welded here and there and some items removed off the chassis and the extension for the Nato hitch, and the panelling for the lights, and the Ambulance has a few extra wires for various fittings that the GS Land Rover wiring harness doesn't have, so if you were going to replicate/swap it, some fore thought would be needed before starting, anyway good luck with it cheers Dennis

Nice find guys! I would get walloped by the missus if I brought home a landy right now instead of finishing off building the house, but I think I might suggest a "holiday" to WA in the future after the house is finished.
Might "accidently" do a bit of landy spotting and see if I can't find my next project. ![]() nice find! ![]()

G'day Dennis Here's how the S3 GS hold the back end of it's ambo body on. Angled brackets on the ends of the crossmember. ![]()

I can confirm that there are a few unique bits that the ambulance needs on the chassis. I'm a bit worried about the condition of some of them on mine, but I'm sure I can figure it all out!
