Sam, I know where there is a complete (minus the canopy) 1969 S2A GS near Gisborne Sth for $700 but it's been completely dismantled. The bloke bought it from the auctions in the mid-late 80's and was going to restore it but only got as far as the chasis, it's been in his shed ever since. He put it on ebay for $500 before last Christmas but the bloke who bought it changed his mind, I contacted him but he decided he wanted $700 so I knocked it back on principal. He listed it twice for $700 after that but didn't get a bid. I'm sure he's still got it.

Cheers, Steve.

Steve, I'd be very interested if you still have his details.

How easy would it be to reassemble, if you weren't the one that pulled it apart?

Very keen though.

The one in the photos is a FFT, and an early one which was intended to have antennas on the wings, and tool brackets behind the seats. They also had a storage box like in the ambulances in place of the center seat on some of them.

it also looks like one i've seen a photo of in a yard of many army land rovers that were never going to be sold (others know the yard i'm refering to).

G'day Sam Ball

That raised centre seat is an Ambulance type clipboard/run sheet locker, which has a centre seat pad fitted, it would have held the radio sheds and freqency information, that vehicle at that price is a gift as they don't come that complete very often now, and as Phoenix has stated one of the rarer ones with the tool set behind the seats, could have been a relay vehicle.

cheers

Thanks Uncle Ho, maybe I should have another look.

Steve would still be interested to get the details of that dismantled one though to have a look.
