Military Trailer heading south

Sitting here in my office on StKilda Rd Melbourne - just saw a mint condition military trailer on the back of a tray truck heading south down St Kilda Road - anyone claiming that one? - or might be heading to the barracks around the corner in Chapel Street.

For your reference, checked out a site from an ad in LRO international for ex mil trailers - bit exxy though, over $2k to land one here from the UK.

See below.

Good Day Mr Ball

To transport trailer to Southampton £200.00
Southampton to Melbourne £675.00

No point in sending a poor trailer so examples from £400.00 to £450.00 for trailers with 6.50 x16 Tires
£450 to £650.00 for trailers with hydraulic over run brakes 7.50 x16 Tires
I would send pictures of preferred choice

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further information or to make an appointment. Our opening hours are 08.30 am to 17.30 pm weekdays,Sat morning 8.30 am to 04.00 pm

G'day Sam Ball

They are Sankey Trailers which is the UK MOD 1/2 ton 2 wheel, I know of several that were brought into Queensland a cople of years ago, and there are still 4 for sale they have over-ride brakes, as well as handbrake, rear stablising legs, full MOD lights, front and rear, screw in MOD type (same as on 101's), as well as reflectors, they have shock absorbers, and axle articulation straps, I believe that the price is now $2500 ea, as I know that they cost just a few dollars short of $3K ea to bring in to the country in 2006, it is the duty that is the killer, as they value on current "Off-Road Trailer" new prices, as they are new to the country even though they are S/Hand

If you are interested, I can give you a Qld Ph No, as I know the owner and the trailers are in good condition, and he could probably send you a pic.

cheers
