I went in 2008. Camp in your car and allow 3-4 days to be able to see everything!

Just got bak from the show - fantastic week, the weather was hot, the beer was cold....

Forgot my camera as usual, but some friends took a load of shots of the 101, so will post them as soon as I get them if you're interested.

In the meantime, if you follow the link at the top of this thread you should be able to see the official shots - check out here for a picture of my son fighting off the Hun with his blank firing '45

and here for a shot of the 101

G'day Martin Smith

Your Vehicle looks very good, and a credit to you BUT we will have to do something about that ARN------ a 1964 88" 1/4 ton GS it isn't surely somebody can come up with a more correct ARN for the "DROP BEAR"

They were numbered in the 29-*** to 30-*** Khaki green on white plates from memory

Maybe somebody might be able to help here, as there were 3 known to be destroyed, 1 burnt,1 in a head-on,1 and one down that sink hole and not recovered, might be worth having a chat to Phoenix as to ARN's

BTW. your young bloke looked the GO I can just imagine the Who-Har if that happened over here,it would be headline news on every TV station in the country,"Children & Guns" Ooh, lordy be

Spent a couple of hours going through the pics, the likes of some of those vehicles would never be seen over here, and even if somebody could afford to import, I doubt if Aust Customs would issue an import permit

cheers

G'day Martin Smith

My friend and fellow REMLR member,Andrew Morrison (aka 3toes) saw your vehicle parked up on a field (abandonned) but could not find you to catch up, he rang me last night to inform me that he'd seen it, and there is a pic of him on Sunday with his head out of a Canadian wheeled armoured vehicle

cheers

Abandoned? Unattended maybe

Gutted that I missed him, last year I was besieged by Aussies who remembered them in service and the truck wasn't even finished - this year, not one to be seen!

G'day Martin Smith

Never mind, you can catch up with him via PM through here, but he now lives in Nth Yorkshire but it is not his fault that he drives a P38a Rangie

I know that there were a few Aussies over there some from Queensland

cheers
