Spoke to the boy yesterday, and as Inc has said, he has been up and running already (watch out Sue).... Am planning on taking Sue in to-day to see him so will post up on my return.

He had a Femoral Osteotomy performed on his leg for all you brainy Landy Lovers out there....for the rest of us we would understand it as a 'cut and shunt' ...end result is the leg is now straight. He will still have a limp but it will be in a straight line and there won't be so much stress placed on the knee joint

G'day Folks

I'm Back

Got home yesterday afternoon from Prince Charles Hospital after having a Femoral Osteotomy, they took a wedge of bone about 30mm out of the outer side of the knee, to line up the actual femor head, it feels and looks strange to have a straight left leg after 38 years, early days yet, but I am in less pain than when I went in, and those that know me will be well aware of the insane angle that my leg was at I can bend it about 30 deg at the moment so will be working on that for the next 6weeks or so, with the hope of being able to drive to Canungra in late October

Thanks to All for your good wishes,it is truely appreciated

Uncle Ho

You not driving anywhere, you will be Yarised to the Canungra meet...GOT THAT old son...and Yarised home again, no staying over night swigging whiskey and other dementing spirits for you, me old china, falling over and busting the leg up ....again.
