I just had some work done on an extremely rare Mercedes water pump. They rebuilt a badly corroded impeller. Do you have the old water pump? Could it be re-buildable?
Just a thought.

regards

concur, I have recently been through the same hoops with my 78 FFR. I am led to believe a small amount of machining work on the impeller from a 2.25 waterpump will resolve the issue. Kits (impeller, seals, etc.) for these (2.25) are readilly available.
