The ones auctioned in Brisbane September 2008 were passed in on an alleged telephone bid (false bid) of $2000. No bid was made by attendees at the auction. Fowles sold a number by private treaty afterwards. Colonel Coleman got one. I think the balance were sent south.

I attended with the intention of buying two to make a car carrying trailer using the suspension and brakes. I was prepared to pay a maximum of $1000 each. I ended up buying a near perfect ex-RAAF No.5 trailer at a bargain price.

The field kitchens are a very classy bit of kit. Very comprehensively equipped.
