Hmmm

Which model workshop and where are you located?

BTW: there were cross-eyed and wide headlamp SIIa and also SIII and each of those three models had differences in their brushguards.

PS: None of the Au military style (sometimes known as Pressed Metals Corp pattern) brushguards could be called a bull-bar, as they would fold up rather extensively if they interfaced with anything larger than a bull-calf.

I know where there is one, but it might have a significant price tag attached. I'll enquire during next week. Not sure if its from either 2a or 3 though.

post up a chassis number and we will trying and give you some info. A couple of pics would go a long way to the cause as well

Sorry to speak for you Lachlan, yours is a series 2a with narrow headlights-meaning the headlights are in the radiator grill panel not in the mudguards.
And thinking about your dumb irons-they appear to have been cut off for a better approach angle (as seen in that youtube vid I posted), back to the spring hangers. There should be more chassis forward of the front spring hangers than yours has.
When I'm back in Sydney I'll ask the previous owner if he still has the scrub bar, I'm pretty sure he did the modifications.

Paul and others, look at Lachlan's profile, then scroll down, right side, his private gallery.

haha i know so little...

i will need to attack my chassis with a grinder to remove a MASSIVE steel plate welded on ever so neatly on the front for a winch to be attached.

i know very little about series 2's as i have grown up with series ones... which doesnt help with such dilemas as scavenging under the house and around for spare parts when there all off series 1's!

The spring hangers protrude almost as far forward as the dumb irons on a military IIa.

Lachlan

Can you post up some photos of the problem area as this would give us a better idea of what you are talking about.

Be careful that the steel plate is not an army mod. You don't want to remove something that should be there.

Look forwards to seeing those pix

Stuart
