Talking FFT with bright future

Ok , i thought i better share a few pics with you guys . I'm still going to make the old girl look army but want it to stand out . So instead of the army green i have chosen kermit green. I'll be putting all the army markings on . I'll have a few changes done like , a hard top , holden 186 , station wagon rear tank , series 3 speedo , rangie wheels with 32x11.5x15's and a barn door on the rear .

So far i have completely stripped to a bare chassis . Got the chassis welded up in a couple of spots and have hand painted it with kill rust . Put all new bushes in and have retensioned the springs and is now 2 inches taller than army spec. I purchased a donor landy off dolphint and have used the bulkhead out of that to get the FFT heading in the right direction . These pics are where i am right now but plan on getting a lot done this week ( hopefully ) . I'll post some more pics later in the week

G'day Wannalandy

With a 2" lift to the original Military springs, don't be suprised if the front tailshaft rubs on the X member, and at full spring extension the tailshaft locks up from the Universals binding, and it rubbing on the crossmember, that is why the Parabolic springs can't be fitted to Aust Military 2 and 2a's without using special open type universals like those used in UK on trials coil sprung vehicles.

cheers

Ok , small update on whats going on . yesterday and today i have been cleaning the engine and removing a few things to get it ready for painting . I finally got the little donk half painted as i still need to do the sump , rocker cover and all the add on bits . I have painted the engine in a magenta color to go with the theme of the Green Goblin in which my 2a beasty is named . so the engine looks a little bright in the photo as i took the pic with the flash but it is alot more purple than the pic shows . I'm hoping to have a few seals by the end of this week and have the heart put in . More pics soon
