G'day Andrew,
Bailey channel is the fur and backing complete. I used to have some that had a plastic U rather than a steel one, which seems a good idea.

It might be worth trying a motor trimmer suppliers,

Cheers Charlie

Thanks Charlie.

Apparently it is still available from the Melbourne Mob, although from them I am dreading the dollar signs...

Angry Little &&$%*((#*(&$%*@^$&*#(*^*^$@^&^&^#*%&^%@(*@^*&^@ $(# *&@ s...

For the second time since I bought him, I came out his morning to find maccas packets on the ground on our front lawn, and sweet and sour sauce thrown at the side of Ambrose.

What is it with people? This doesn't happen to other cars in our street. They never throw it at my Fairmont.

I think I know who it is. There is a bunch of F&%wit kids up the road who wander around at all hours of the day and night and have no regard for road users (I have almost run them over more than a few times... ) Problem is, even if I catch the little turds in the act, their parents I don't think would do anything, and the cops probably wouldn't do anything either. Reading ahead, they would probably then step up their attacks because I dared to dob them in.

Why do people let their kids act like that?

If I did that I would have copped one hell of a walloping, and I don't care what the law says, I intend on spanking my kids if they have it coming. I might even speak harshly to them... (oh my!)

Shonky!

Mate, this again backs up my proposal that we need to post life guards on
the gene pool.... too many people are taking a dip!

(and to think out of 1 million sperm THEY were the best swimmers!)

I reckon that the local coppers would love to catch them but in reality the court (if it went that far) would come back with some fantastic wisdom (as they represent the general public expectations of decorum and fairness etc!!!) such as "the car was made for an army, surely a bit of sauce wont hurt it... Tell them anyway, (each and every time it happens)it may help get something sorted out in the long run....(we find the sqeaky wheel is where the oil goes!) even if everyone just rings up to advise the coppers then theyll get sick of hearing about these oxygen theives and will try to find some reason to "share the love" in their direction....

I know theyre called meatwagons but surely that means tomato or bbq sauce? and wasnt nost of the sauce these fleets had spilled inside (if you know what I mean!

good luck mate... (maybe a sensitive sensor light and a videocamera recording for the regular nights? if nothing else its good proof!)

Take it easy and dont get too sucked into it because the bastrards will turn it all around and ou'll become the bloke that "picked on, assaulted or threatened" the little angels and end up in court!...it happens a lot

and mate "spare the rod spoil the child" was very much in at our place when I was a nipper.
5 kids plus a foster kid, and smacks, getting "switches" off the tree to be used on us, and penalties (eg no tv, no going out, no sports on weekend etc!) for misbehaviour or lack of chores or homework....
it mustve been bad for us,
my oldest sister has an MBE and is in charge of a major aid agency working in india, afghanistan, and all thorugh those areas
my older brother is a lt colonel in the army (started as a grunt!) and .he is a liaison now for ausmil with us military in langley virginia..
Im no star but i have done ok in my job and been capt of local cfs in previous town i was living in, so i assume im ok..
my younger sister is a senior manager with centrelink
my youngest sister is a senior manager and trouble shooter with coles australia (and has responsibility for two eastern states)
my foster brother works in the fashion industry and he and his wife both hold very trusted positions with a famous designer

so what im saying is....'smack em when they need it, praise em when they deserve it and love em all the time!!!

Going off topic, a bit. I sorta like this bloke. He may help you.

CNN - Arizona criminals find jail too in-'tents' - July 27, 1999

Quote:
Sheriff Joe Arpaio (in Arizona) is doing it RIGHT!! He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them. He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights. Cut off all but "G" movies. He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects. Then he started chain gangs for women so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination.
He took away cable TV until he found out there was a federal court order that required cable TV for jails. So he hooked up the cable TV again but only let in the Disney channel and the weather channel. When asked why the weather channel he replied, so they will know how hot it's gonna be while they are working on my chain gangs.
He cut off coffee since it has zero nutritional value. When the inmates complained, he told them.....this is a good one......"This isn't the Ritz/Carlton. If you don't like it, don't come back."
He bought Newt Gingrich's lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails. When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place. You have to love this guy!!
More on the AZ Sheriff:
With temperatures being even hotter than usual in Phoenix (116 degrees just set a new record), the Associated Press reports:
About 2,000 inmates living in a barbed-wire-surrounded tent encampment at the Maricopa County Jail have been given permission to strip down to
their government-issued pink boxer shorts. On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 degrees inside the week before. Many were also swathed in wet, pink towels as sweat collected on their chests and dripped down to their pink socks. "It feels like we are in a furnace," said James Zanzot, an inmate who has lived in the tents for 1 1/2 years. "It's inhumane."
Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is
not one bit sympathetic He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too, and
they have to wear full battle gear, but they didn't commit any crimes... so shut your damned mouths."

Amen!

As much as I would like to take to the little buggers with the ride on mower, I know the implications of damaging the precious dears and I am not willing to ruin my career over vengeance.

I will just keep washing it off and hope they get bored of it.

The gene pool I agree needs draining, renovating with new filtration and a sediment trap, and refilling from somewhere pure.

It's looking more like a long drop toilet at the moment.
