Stainless BSF bolts

Hi all, was wandering if anyone knew a good source of stainless BSF bolts. mostly after some 1/4" ones for the swivel hub seal retainers. An online website would be good as I'm deserted on this island by a large sea of land very frustrating when you want something even slightly out of the ordinary. cheers, Bill

They are very, very, expensive, I would say outrageously so. Check their tap and die prices and when your eyes stop watering, ask me for a quote on the same items and you will see what I mean. For your fasteners try Bruce Gardner, B.S.F. Bolts, 12 Nicholls Court, Mordialloc 3195, 'phone 0408 056 255, or Stig Fasteners, England on Stig's Stainless Fasteners, or Fred Goddard, Bolts Steel and Tools Australia, Hume St. Norman Park 4170, 'phone 07-3395-0311, fred@fastenersales.com

So the bolt doesn't rust away but the corrosion is transferred to the metal to which the bolts are attached.

Not that bad with stainless versus steel, not like stainless on aluminium, but I would not even consider stainless for swivel seal bolts - they are almost always oily anyway. Probably worth getting sherardised ones if you can find them though.

So they don't go rusty whilst the restored trailer queen is sitting unused.
