Hi
Peter I had already purchased the ambo when you took these pics and left it there to be picked up on a car trailer later.

water jerry bracket

The brackets on both my 2A Bloodboxes (one now passed on to a good friend for rebuild - Gday Murray !) are made from aluminium. Dennis is dead righ about closing the left door with a water jerrycan in it. Eventuall you will wear a groove into the stretcher handle...

The one on the right I always assumed held a long plastic first aid box and/or water bottles.

hope this helps...

Cheers

Phill

G'day All, Not wanting to tread on anyones toes so to speak but the items being discussed here are not home made, there were 2 different types as fitted to the lhs rear door on a Ambulance, the larger one carried a plastic jerry can for water, the smaller version (as fitted to my bloodbox) who knows what it carried, I have heard tales about a small water container but i've never seen anything smaller than 20lt, 2 quart, waist bottles LOL anyway cheers Dennis
PS and yes I do agree that certain homemade items can make a difference in the field..
