Nice pics Stuart, I think the top 3 are a "Truck, Carryall " . Ian's looks like a "Truck Panel" as per your last pic. The cosmetic difference being the side windows.....

Ian, that is a very nice looking vehicle mate..... it has come a long way !!

So.... what's ya next project ?

Cheers,

Pete

G'day Folks

Nice period pic of the panel truck, interesting to note the rear tyre pressures,39lbs per sq inch, where as most GS &W/shop vehicles were pressured at 46lbs, could be for operator comfort/light loads,or sensitive equipt carried in the rear, cypher equipt???? with female operators back home.

cheers

Being a panel, I would suggest delicate equipment.

Panel

Close but no cigar....

Mine has no windows in the side & two nice [BANG] holes about mid way down the side..... so cant be one with the side windows.... Also I do not know about PSI's over the wheel arches as someone has used spray filler around the arches & I cant get all the paint back to see. I will add the PSI's when get a chance...

I have looked at the scratches on the side none match the ones in LRVP's first piccie (With the stunner Army chicks : they remind me of Some of my early days in uniform & the great women in the ADF then....)... The wiper motor is the same though... I looked for money under the seats but no joy there either....

Knowing it was common/required to paint the PSI above wheel arches I don't see this as a decider. Maybe a dent here or there will give it away in a photograph...I dunno as yet...Have scrutinised it fairly well, & I am happy that I got a roof....

I am getting there, have rebuilt two wiper motors for replacing the olde ones. Seems there is a little square bit which gave up the ghost in mine some time back, I have dismantled the originals. Lucky I have a set of spares... One to be fitted tomorrow night.

The fiddly bits are taking time (more than I want) EG Speedo cable refitting, bolts into roof, rubber seal between panel part & body, some issues with a bent choke cable. But I will get there in the end..

I would like to post more but I have to try & finish ASAP Corowa is only weeks away. If I don't make that I will Aim for ANZAC day. People appreciate the photos of vehicles I take. SO I am happy with that...

Ian
