Camping Weekend - Bigriggen Camping Park Sat 19th Sun 20th August

Saturday August 19th 2006 and Sunday 20th 2006
Camping Weekend - Bigriggen Camping Park
Trip Leaders: David & Larissa Puxty
Meeting Place: At the venue - Upper Logan Road. Take the Boonah Rathdowney Rd from Rathdowney, Left into Upper Logan
Road, then first entry to the right (appx 100 meters past turn off)- past the cattle yards.
Meeting Time: From 9am at the venue on Saturday 19th
Distance: Appx 109km's from the Brisbane CBD
Trip Grading: Social to Easy
How Much: $6.50 per adult per night. Children 3-12 $3.25 per person per night. (as at 12/4/06 - subject to change) Fees will be
payable at the kiosk on arrival - mention you are from the RRCQ.
General Information: Open campfires, bins for general rubbish are also. Tiled showers and wash basins with hot water, septic
toilets, Pets not allowed. No mobile phone reception available.
Bring your own firewood or purchase a bag at the office.
Hot showers are 20c per minute - bring along enough for a hot shower!
Kiosk to purchase milk, bread, sweets, ice and gas refills available.
Generators 65db in noise or less are ok
Driving/Activities:
a) We will be leaving at 1pm sharp on Saturday for a drive around the local area. (info not yet available as reccee yet to be done -
hopefully some dirt)
b) There is plenty of bush walking/hiking that can be done down the road at Mt Barney (self guided - Lower portals or Yellow
Pinch)
c) there are a number of vineyards in the area that you can visit
d) swim in the creek (it's easier on the feet if you have thongs or wading boots due to the stone bottom) - don't forget to bring a
tube.
e) Saturday night there will be a movie under the stars on the big screen. (subject to weather conditions)

Hey FenianEel

Does the club allow visitors on trips, reason i ask is that i'm considering joining one of the landrover clubs in SE Qld and thought it would be good to go along as a visitor to day/weekend trip with the club.
