The standard spot for fuel jerries was in front of the wings when the headlights were still in the guards. a lot of series 1 and 2's did it that way. I've not seen it tat way on a late 2a or series 3 though.

Do you think the galvanised firewall and grill panel were NADA Spec. as well?

Is that the std green they came out with? Looks a bit like BRG to me.
I want to do my 2A trailer in this colour on the outside, and keep the original beige inside. If anyone can let me know the original paint codes, or has pics of samples, it would make me a happy camper as I want to get it finished soon. See the link here for the pics so far. It has been painted once before in the greyish colour you see in the pics, but inside is original. |

I painted my SIII that colour. It's my favourite Land Rover Colour - looks very distinguished. |

Great in an accident you can spray fuel on both cars before they ignite

G'day Folks
![]() That looks like it is Deep Bronze Green, which was a standard Landrover colour from 1952 onwards, and is still available to my knowledge, interesting to note that even the bonnet support frame is galv, so it is a no expense spared resto, and the 109 wagon looks good too ![]() cheers
