Yep, sounds good. I am about to get some replacements for my IIA, and I'd be interested to hear what people might have to say.

Has anyone here changed their 7" Lucas headlights out for something else? I have Hella 1056 semi sealed beam inserts with H4 HID Globes which have been fantastic, no need for spotlights at all, however I've just had one cracked by a stone. I'm interested in what others have used. Once we get enough brands listed we should do a poll.I've heard Cibie's are also a good replacement. By listing brands and part numbers we could make a good resource for anyone changing out their lights.

For the trip to Castle Hill I fitted new bulbs to my standard lights, checked the aim, and, helped by the relay i fitted a year or two ago, I found the lights were right up to scratch, even driving at 100kph in bad roo country between Mudgee and here.
But if you need new lights, I would be inclined to fit the Hella H4s I have on the 110, but I have to emphasise that the biggest improvement is the relay, followed by correct aiming.

Lucas RTC4615 (H4)
Wipac PM678 (H4)
Hella 1056 (H4)
Britpart BHM7196L (Sealed Beam)
When I bought mine the Wipac was the the only type your more than welcome to have a look
Very good piece of kit and with the dollar right up high a good time to buy

I have been quite happy with both IPF and Hella replacement 7 inch headlights. Both take H4 globes.
i've played around a lil with the hella 1058 (the heavy duty ones IIRC) and the IPF's.... both good units IMO
An interesting read and just may have convinced me to try Cibie's this time:
