Replica - not really.

The originals are pressed aluminium shim, black in the hollows and bare aluminium on the high points. These are cast and solid, so easy to differentiate from the real thing.
The Station Wagon badges were originally in two pieces with FOUR WHEEL DRIVE STATION WAGON on a separate plate that fitted below the standard Land Rover badge for the vehicle.

If you like it then buy.

Bob

Or buy one direct for half the price

CAST ALUMINIUM LAND ROVER STATION WAGON BADGE *SALE* - eBay, Land Rover, Car Parts, Vehicle Parts Accessories. (end time 26-Mar-10 19:42:59 AEDST)

Don't you just love that exchange rate; 60p to AU$1 - the highest in 40 years

I still prefer the originals though....but $300

He has a rust free 1949 chassis and a couple of ring pull gear boxes, early 1600 motors..
Iam going to have a chat as it might be a great starting point for a restoration project.
