I am sure that we will see some of the ads pulled before the auctions end. However I would have loved to see the welder restored by the vendor, he did such excellent work on his 1950 and S2 ute they are far better now than they were when they came off the production line. C Ya Diana

Hi there
The old S1 gear is becoming quite a collectable. I suspect the welder will also go for big dollars - I also hoping stayes in Oz. All the best Wayne

I paid about $400 to have my steering wheel and centre repaired by Pearlcraft and that didn't include fixing the elecrtical bit on the horn button. I know Chazza (like many of us) has a wheel that is only a bare metal ring. Some time ago we were discussing making up a replacement rim by using split poly pipe as a mould and filling it with a polyurothane resin then shaping and polishing the result. This all takes time and I am sure that with only a few months left before Cooma $256 would be a bargain for some people. With the welder - it sure looks to be the genuine thing even with the wrong windscreen, but the limiting factor will be that the vendor is not interested in dispatching it overseas. That should limit the oportunities for it to migrate. At least I won the spare lenses for my 1967 at a reasonable price. C Ya Diana

Did anyone see it while it was active and before it bloomed?

Hi there
Its is amazing the price some of this gear is achieving. For some time now I have never locked my shed when away on shift up north - this has now changed. Well all the best Wayne PS even the S1 rear PTO unit currently $510.00 (with 4 days to go) but if you read the fine print $250 for freight costs makes it quite expensive.

I think their claim that it is completely restored is a bit over the top - more like a tidy up. Likewise I think the price is a bit steep.
But then again - there is a buyer somewhere for every car. Garry
