After being told no more after the RRC some one changed her mind
It started with a visit from Mick_Marsh with "Look what I've found, you interested?"
A cup of coffee later and the decion is made we should at least go look at it.
SHMBO set the buget and a fortnight later off we go to have a look.
The owner is keen for it to go, even if it's only to the local metal scrapie
The body is fairly good and straight for it's age, the chassis is fairly good but does need some work, at least one cross member.
It's had a 202 fitted but never been registered with this motor conversion.
Mick_Marsh did a little bit of research on the rego history and best we know it was a farm truck in NSW in it's recent past.
It may have no reverse gear and we havn't had it running yet.
So we made an offer and picked it up a week later(last weekend)
Thanks Mick for your leg work and the loan of your trailer
So now for the pics...

What to do next after a fire up and road test...
Get it roadworthy and use it as a daily driver or go the whole rebuild.
Keep the 202 or find an origional motor, 6cyl???
Do I need to change the door locks for ADR reasons?
What else should I consider?
Congrats to you Kyle..

Does this mount look right?
It's angle and flat wielded to fitt, looks like a good job though.

Some numbers for those in the know.

Kyle, the pics are a bit too small to see much detail
maybe bigger pics so we can see clearly the numbers

The only thing I like more about the 6 cylinder that was in mine is just how quiet and smooth it is. The 202 I installed is much more powerful but if your looking for 2.6 parts / block I have them gathering dust
Bugger!
I shouldn't have told you about it. Should have been mine.
Anyone travelling from Rockhamton to Melbourne soon?
Those photo's are good.

I'll be going from rockhampton to noosa near the 20th and from rockhampton to wagga next january/feb if that's any help
I'm looking at trying to fire it up in December.
I'm away next week including lunch with Digger on Sunday
Then the Birthday weekend and a trip to the high country in November.
I'm hoping to keep the 202 if the compresion test comes up OK.
Then theres the enginering to look at, hopfully it won't need to much.
I'll make the decision in December and let you know if I decide to go back the Landy motor.
Thanks for the offer, it's may be the simpler option, time will tell.
