Thread: How do you find the LR part number you need?

    SPARE PARTS MANUALS

    Do we have a section on the forum for spare parts listings or does anyone have any good links for downloads. I have a 96 110 defender and have recently purchased some bits from ldirect. Having availability to part numbers would be a hell of a time saving.

    online version from Russia : this link in english and then click on photo of the motor in the middle near the bottom which says Spare parts and then click on your model defender.
    I understand microcat will soon be online anyway and maybe not on discs

    Lightbulb How do you find the LR part number you need?

    When you don't really know what the broken thingy is that you're holding in your hand or you simply want to upgrade a part on your vehicle, how do you go about identifying what it is and what LR part number to use to order it?

    For some time now I have been using an online LR parts catalogue hosted in Russia. It has parts info for all Land Rovers from 1989 to 2012 using parts schematics to navigate to what you need.

    It might not be of much use to the professional spanner wielders or the enthusiast extraodinaire but I am hoping it may help the rest of you when attempting to identify parts.

    A lot of odd parts I've been looking for lately, I find by google searching, then going to the first few ebay listings. The listing is almost always for the part I want, has a picture to prove it and contains the part number in the ad. Then take the part number and do whatever you like - search again, or go to a store.
