D90 2014 How to increase fuel range

    Hi all,

I am just wondering what people have done to get a longer range out of their 90s, being that they have such a small tank, how have you done it?

*Can you fit an Aux tank, and where? -where did you buy it?
*Do you just carry jerry cans, and how did you mount them?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

    -Rick

Have a look at expedition center aka mulgo
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

You can get a couple of extra fuel tanks, a company called front runner do them! It mounts on the right hand side between the chassis and sill panel. Think it's about 45 liters and you can also get one for the left hand side that's 40 liters I think but will require cutting an extra hole for a fuel filler cap! The right hand side one uses the exsisting nozzle. They are around $1100 each. Check out www.expiditioncenter.com or the front runner website it's self.

Uber1600 is close to the mark. PM "Mulgo" on here - Daniel is great to deal with. Front Runner sill tanks each side. 40 litres each, although 42 litres to the passenger side because of the extra fuel line if you also fit a "Y" piece to the standard nozzle so you don't have to cut any panels for extra fuel filler points. I have them on my MY12 D90 and get around 1200km's from a fill to the fuel light, so should be around 1350km's to empty - if you're brave. Fitted myself over a weekend.

And Nugget does a Jerry can/ wheel carrier to give you another option.

Hey JoBoRover did you manage to run the 2 sill tanks off the original filler point? Or did you have to cut in a new fill point on the pasenger side? I'm looking into getting this set up but wasn't keen on cutting a new filler point hole.
