Just catching up now, but I'm pretty certain I didn't remove the circlip to rotate it. From memory I held it open slightly with pliers in one hand and wiggled it around with the other hand.
Ok. So when trying to refit the circlip, get a second set of hands, its quite difficult.
Turbo bolted on, fits well, need to change the plumbing a bit though. uploadfromtaptalk1410944358473.jpg

Just noticed your oil feed is the vac pump drain. Does that work ok?

Turbo Oil feed is T'd off the vacuum pump oil feed. it works fine, the oil feed to the Turbo has a restrictor in it as well. To much oil, and you will find it passes the seals in the Turbo and ends up in your intake.
Which spring should I get?

Aiming for somewhere in the 20+ psi. Was going to just purchase the 25psi spring and see how it goes.
Dougal, whilst waiting for the spring, how thick awasher should I use to get around 15psi?
That'll depend on about a dozen different things.
Basically, wind in the rod for more and more preload until you hit the boost you want. If you can't then take the can apart and add washers for internal preload.
I set a turbo wastegate on the bench with a pressure gauge and bike pump. In use they normally boost about 2-3psi less than a bench test as the exhaust pressure is also forcing the wastegate open.
Well the turbo is all on. Haven't been for a drive yet, but am thinking i will need to add some washers to the actuater as the spring in it is only 7.35psi.
