    Mitch Hitch concern ?

Guys, have noticed this before, and thought I would check with others today.

Those that have Mitch Hitch's, is it noticeable on yours that it is not parallel to the ground ?

I have attached a pic which probably does not do justice to my explanation, but it definitely appears to have a downward tilt, and when hitched to our horse float, ball is not perpendicular to the trailer AL-KO hitch.

I have re-tourqed/checked the bolt that goes into the recovery point and all good. Bottom plate to the factory chain eyelets is perfectly flat, and bolts torqued ok, so I am guessing its all ok ?

Was your like that when it was installed?
Mine is not angled at all on a visual look just then? I towing 2 to 3 tonnes long distances a few times a year for four years. Mine is from Kaymar Rear Bars, Spare Wheel Carriers, Jerrycan Holders & Accessories so might be a little different.

    Hi weakestlink,

It has been like it since day one, but only noticeable with my rapid hitch on full drop.

I only use this hitch when we tow our 3.5 tonne horse float....which is often.

Have been hearing some noises of late, so replaced ball on rapid hitch and a new AL-KO hitch on the trailer....but noises still persists. So wondered if I had an issue with the Mitch Hitch.

Probably stating the obvious, but is the wedge fitted to the underside chassis?

Yep...it goes in the old factory hitch location....pushes up inside. It seems that it is just the way it is.
