I would get someone to check it with a nanocom or similar to see if it has registered a fault code
Just in case this turns out to be something others have experienced. The amber check engine light has flickered on a couple of times while cruising down the freeway.
Any suggestions as to why this might happen? Is it a sign of the injector loom filled with oil?

I reckon it might be your battery. Mine did the same thing when the battery was on the way out.

Possible loose connection of one of the plugs for the ECM.
if you'll not get any fault code related to crank sensor or driver demand then it's bad contact somewhere between the ECM and instrument pack on the earth path to the MIL or wiyhin the instrument pack...it's traceable but not easy

It's not the water in the filter light?
I have a Nanocom if you are near Lysterfield. More than happy to try it if you like. My Nanocom is for a TD5.
(Put your suburb location in, just makes it easier😀
