    Discovery 2 won't start

    I have discovery 2 2000 td5 with ecu nnn500030 not start. i try to make test with x431 but can conect the ecu when i try to read or test the engine.

    any way to test and find the problem??

    Do you mean you replaced the original MSB101193 ECU with the NNN500030 and it doesnt start with it or it worked with it before and it suddenly doesnt start?

    also what do you mean "not start"? , no crank or crank but no fire?

    Hi . the ecu is original. the car was 3 month stoped when try to start it not start any more. it crank but no fire. try to make a diagnostic with x431 i can read the eka but cant read test the engine because it fail read ( give me time out). and the check engine light not show.

    Try cleaning pins and sockets for BCU and ECU modules and plugs with contact cleaner.
    My D2 had been sitting for a while and doing this got it running again.

    Can the ecu reset?? is possible how can i program again? i have a fgtech is possible with it??

    measure the voltage on the battery while cranking...if it fails under 10V it will hardly start...maybe you just need a strong battery

    uhmm ok i will try . but why the x431 cant make the engine test?

    nanocom, hawkeye, lynx, autologic, testbook t4, rovacom, dec superscan, tribox mobile.... and maybe few more just to have dedicated menu for D2
