As long as it is a 3.9 Hotwire it'll be the right one. I have used the same one on 3.5 hotwire too with no issues.JC |

A Maf has very little workings. It's basically a cast alloy body. A couple of sensor wires, under the top cover there are a few electronic resistors etc.
So there is no moving parts. Only the setting adjuster is a moving part As far as the Chinese copies are concerned, and the fear that some put on them being inferior to the expensive Lands rover ones. China and Taiwan produce probably most of the resistors being used in in electrical/electronic appliances, be it radios, Televisions, mobile phones, computers etc etc. People every day buy these items, and the components are all mass produced in China. So I would imagine the Chines mafs electronics, (and there are very few in a Maf would be ok) As for the alloy casing, it is on par with the OEM part. I'm sure there have never broken. Having that said, the UK ebay MAF sellers are making a killing as these units most probably only cost about $5-10 to produce in China> I researched this a while ago, but it was all to hard to import with the customs, imports and dealing with non speaking Chinese manufacturers. I have a Chinese Maf on mine and have been running it without problem for 2 years. That is after I spent $500 odd each for 2 rebuilt Australian ones that only lasted approx 6 months.
