    TRS ECU MAP DRAMAS?????

I HAVE A NON FLashable TRS ECU, just wondering if anyone has experienced a low down miss at very low rpm with one of these??
Can you replace the ECU with a flashable type??? For much better fine tuning.
The car drives fine apart from this miss, that is very noticable when you let the clutch out slowly,at low revs.
How do I overcome this problem???

    please help

    cheers

not that I take any notice,,
the D2a ecu is a better tune than the D2
in standard form, and its flashable.
seems to me it should be any D2 rattlers first move.

not that I take any notice,,

    Hi Pedro,
Do you mean by *rattlers* the miss that im talking about?
Sometimes it has not been noticeable at all, and this is also when the gear changes are much smoother, Ive also noticed that after changing gears, the revs stay slightly high and come back down slowly, like trying to change gears with your foot over the accelerator, kinda feels like a syncro is stuffed when changing gears .
Seems to be some sort of coincidence with this and the miss that occurs!!!
Would you have any idea as to what this could be??
If I need to change the NON FLASHABLE ECU TO A D2A TYPE where is the best place to source one, and how much roughly.
I still think though that there is something else causing this problem.
Would I acchieve anything by changing the ECU, as it has been re-chipped from TRS, could it be a fault with what has been done?????

    thanks for your help

er, a rattler is just my endearing term for a diesel,,
    Have you contacted TRS?
Have you connected a nanocom and looked for logged faults?
Have you disconnected the MAF? (yes it will still go ok,,)

This seems like it needs someone who owns a rattl- diesel to help you,,
If Our D2 diesel owners dont say much today,, I'll move it to Tech.

in saying it feels like its slipping do you have a manual if have experienced a remap when power and torque upped which caused the failing clutch to slip even more ,even if you have a auto if it seems like it slipping check tran

if revs stay high between gear change it's usually the clutch switch.

I have a TRS upgrade in mine (2001non-flashable) and its been faultless, the 1 time I thought there was a problem I rang Phil at TRS and he talked me thru a few things to check..
Those guys know there L/Rover stuff, before you go looking for every fault everyone else has had, give them a call and use their knowledge..
They offered to fly mine down and test it, so before you go blowing more $$$ try them first..

    Cheers Ean
