    TD5 ECU Part No. Definition?

    I havnt found via search what I need. Perhaps we can answer these two questions, and then put the results in the good oil?

    1. Specific Question - What part no. do I need to replace the ecu in a 2004 D2A TD5 Auto

    2, General Question which will help others:

    MSB Prefix = non-flashable

    NNN = Flashable

    What do the numbers after the NNN prefix mean?
    For example - NNN500250?

    The last 3 numbers determans what model it goes in auto/manual

    Manual WITH EGR cooler is NNN500020 (this is the one in my early D2)
    Manual WITHOUT EGR cooler NNN500250

    The auto number escapes me.

    Funnily the recoomended ECU is the 500020 even if you don't have the EGR cooler (manual only of coarse)
    Cheers Baz.
