No I haven't Scott, but, as you inferred, the fix in this neck of the woods for leaking swivel seals is to use the "one shoot grease" refills as used in Disco 1s - seems to work OK over long mileages with no problems or leaks...
... just a thought
I have a Defender front axle stripped down in my garage for a rebuild but one of the swivel balls has a rather large pit mark right at the swivel seal surface. It's right at the bottom which makes matters worse.
It might be OK if the swivels are filled with grease but oil will defintely leak out.
I thought I'd ask if anyone has had any experience repairing these with any of the metal fillers available now?

There's other minor pitting around the ball so I was going to suggest grease filling to the owner. The other pitting is relatively minor compared to the decent pit I'm worried about.

Replace the balls?
My LHS ball has a rub mark on it but with grease it doesn't leak.I was going to replace it but if it works it works. Pat
I'd fit a new swivel ball Scott, they aren't exxy and if it has a pit mark it may not leak OUT, but it may well let water IN
