    free wheelin?

    hey guys any idea on how much sum free wheeling hubz would cost and if you get much more power in 2wd?

    you proberbly wont even notice any difference in power or fuel economy but you will have to get out in the mud to engage them when you need 4x4

    cant help with the cost part

    Sort of defeats the purpose of having a vehicle that is constant 4WD doesn't it? Not sure if you would get a small gain in economy or not, but you would get a big loss in everything else. As THE BOOGER says, you will just end up getting out of the vehicle in the mud like a common Jap 4WD owner...

    cuz i tow my drift car to the track, and i gota ride the **** out of the clutch to get it onto boost in 1st gear! and if ya smart youll get out and lock ya hubz at the start not when ya in the mud, and less tyre wear in 2wheel and better turning!!!!

    Take the front propshaft out, lock the CDL, and see if that makes any of the differences you wish to achieve.
    There's a few reasons why AWD and constant 4WD is becoming increasingly common.

    There is a simple adjustment to the fuel pump that will give you more fuel off boost I.e. As your letting the clutch out.....it's a standard mod to most 300tdi's.
