I posted this in the European car section but have virtually no views so I would put the link here Zenith Carby Floats
Simply; what glue which is compatible with petrol can I use to re-glue the two halves of a plastic carby float back together.
I would appreciate an responses on the linked thread
Thanks

cyano-acrylate aka superglue no problems
get a good one from a hobby shop or "Rapid Fix" from a tool shop, the sellys / $2 shop stuff is crap, be careful of the fumes if your asthmatic.
Thanks for the tips - went to Balckwoods to get some Superfix but left with Devcon Plastic Welder - it is 100% compatible with all hydrocarbons including petrol and diesel.
A local carby place suggested Araldite but I wasn't so sure.
This is a pic of the floats. The top is the float split and the bottom is it joined.
