    300Tdi ??

    Sorry i have already posted this on the General chatter but i really need an answer what do i have to look out for when buying a 300tdi Auto Disco ?? what were the problems with the 300Tdi ?? timing belt and blowing a headgasket ?? please correct me if iam wrong cause i really dont know much about them. how do i check if those problems have been fixed ?? or is there a permanent fix ?? or anything else ??

    Probably best to budget for replacing the timing belt anyway - better safe than sorry. My head gasket blew after one of the two plastic filling plugs on the cooling system failed and I lost coolant - known problem - you can buy brass ones to replace them. Smart people do this before they fail!
