    Potential temporary SLS aircomp fix.

Had to do something at work today that I just realised Might just get some people that last 1000k out of their aircompressor for their air suspension.

we had a truck pulled over at work that wasnt one of ours but had to be moved as it was blocking the only access point for our vehicle park.

Short story is after working out hed run out of air as his air compressor wasnt working anymore as we werent allowed to fit parts to it (not a mil expense vehicle but a civvy contractor) we took the intake hose off of the aircompressor (runs from air filter to the compressor) and grabbed a spray bottle with some soluable oil and water in it mixed well. With the engine running (turn on the compressor for the same effect) we sprayed that into the intake, after a minute it was starting to suck a little so we gave it a bit more. a few minutes after that and it had a full head of air up and was ready to move.

Good simple idea, why the water and oil mix? would straight oil not work better?

we uses soluable oil as the air driers wont get killed by it and the water was to make it fine enough to mist in the spray bottle. put too much in too fast and your risk hydraulicing the compressor.

That might do bad things to a 12cfm compressor being driven by a 300+ hp donk...
