    Flashers

    NO not the naughty kind,

    my flasher unit in a 88 rangie has had the richard, and I carn't find the bloody thing in the hella cattledog...

    the #'s on the unit are HELLA TBB 45
    ELEKTRONIC
    4DM-003-460-02
    2+1(6)x21w12v
    Made in the REICH
    SAEJ590B/SAE J945
    A 71375 DOT
    REMORQUE

    What a mouth full.....so has anyone found a aftermarket one of these if so a brand and part # would be great...

    This is a Hella 3017 "Solid State Electronic flasher Unit, 12v.", "a caravan or trailer flasher unit to operate 2 or 3 lamps on either side of the vehicle". "No. of globes 2 + 1." The catalogue shows this as a five pin unit.

    Your RR should have a Hella 3026 "2 Pin High Capacity Flasher Unit, 12v.", High capacity electronic flasher unit. Up to 210w. load". "No. of globes 1 to 10 x 21w".

    The 3026 would appear to be a unit for a much heavier load than the 3017.

    The 3026 is on page 208 and the 3017 is on page 210 of the Hella 2003-2004 catalogue.

    Hi Brian

    Well the flasher can in my 88 rangie defenatley has HELLa TBB 45 written on it,and the pin configeration corrisponds with that of the 3017 on page 163 of my cattledog..01-02 (how did you cross reffreance this number to get the 3017 number ??)
    Dont know why its differant to what it should be..

    Try a company called Nice Products in Melb they probably would do an aftermarket replacement, they do one for the S3 landy etc worth a shot, Repco I think sell there stuff but they have a website, cheers Andy

    I looked at the picture in the catalogue. It has the numbers on it.

    they don't call me stupid for nothing...I must have been haveing a blond moment last night just had a look at my cattledog.....guess what it has the numbers on it in the pic.....
