Good one, thanks for that bit of info,
yep mine was doing was yours did before the timing belt replacement, I had Ricks 4wd at nerang do the replacement,( I'm glad i did instead of trying myself, the dealer that put the previous belt on had loctited the bottom pulley on) all I know is it was two teeth out to start with and rick did his magic on it( I guess that was tweaking etc, goes like a rocket in comparison. Didn;'t get it dynoed.)

It was interesting that everyone has had a problem or two relating to the lack of power and each problem relates something different.

I too had/did;
turbo to intercooler 90 deg got a hole rubbed in it, = no boost, hard to find initially,
checked and cleaned the injector pump cone
didn;t crack injectors but used lots of cleaner,
changed filters fuel and air. checked fuel flow,
noticed someone mentioned crook fuel, even checked that, but hey they are supposed to run on peanut oil so any oil will work.

ended up being same as yours timing belt problem.
but in reverse mine prior yours post.

Know a bloke who has deisel gas on a nissan, reckons its great.

john

ps at the end of the day, all the combined info gives you a picture of the probs on a 300tdi that can cause the low power output. Info that has built up over the years, through the experiences of many old hands.
