    Maxxis - Creepy Crawlers

    guys and gals,

looking at the Maxxis Creepy Crawlers here

    ??????????

they say they are not recommended for street use

Has anyone got them and how do they perform on the road.

My truck is probably 30% road use 70% off road...basically just driven on the blacktop to get to the bush and not driven daily but now concerned they are dangerous on the bitumen. They dont look that agressive on the www

    any advice appreciated

They drive fine, not a radial, but very bearable on the road

    Creepies

Mate I just sold mine but I found them very tame on road for a big bias tyre. Yes they are a bit noisy and do move around a little but not too bad. I ran 25-30 psi on road and had no problems. very tough tyre although I was the first person in SE QLD to damage the side wall. Still dont know where or how. They are a very good alround extreme tyre.

Just putting it together now I am guessing I just bought Drangeds set of tyres if there on tx1 rims. I am looking forward to trying them out so I will post a thread and give you my point of view though I would be inclined at this stage to accept what Dranged said.

thanks pete for the link. the reveiews mainly mention off road ability, I am more interested in the onroad performance.

I think they wil be okay, I want a second set for offroad and can use my STT's for highway/touring trips.

macbac, let me know what you think about their onroad performance ta

    Maxxis Buckshot

I just bought Maxxis Buckshot. I was keen to get the Bighorns but couldn't get a set in time (just tore out two side walls on the weekend). So far they have been a little noisier on the road but they seem to grip well, even in the wet. I will take them out for a session in a couple of weeks but i have high hopes.
