TD5 fuel pump motor - replaceable ?

Hello all, When TD5 fuel pressure pump assembly fails and its the motor only unserviceable. Is there anyone reconditioning these units with a new motor?
Is the motor only easy to source. I have just replaced my pump assy. and want to recon my old unit with U/S motor and carry as a spare!

Start by pulling out the motor of the pump and seeing if there is anything to service (ie brushes). Then head to your nearest auto elect and show them the motor. Finally, google google & google.

A photo would be good as I am not game to take mine out for just a look.

good luck, Im still working on it... I think I have a solution thats likely to work using an EFI petrol pump but it requires rejigging the hosing and loses the low pressure side so the life of the pump wont be good as it has to suck the fluid through the filter and everything else before pushing it up to the engine..

ATM If I can get the thing to prime easily (it hasnt yet and IVE killed 2 known working second hand pumps trying to) then Im going to post up on it...
