LPG for a 1996 4.6 P38
OK, I've just bought a 1996 P38 4.6 V8 and will be running it on LPG, NON injection type.
I'm going to buy as many of the bits I can and will be installing the big items my self. My certified installer will then connect everything up.
So far I've decided I need a donut tank, 650 x 270, should fit, and will use an OMVL R90e vaporisor.
I'd like to run it via a closed loop system, ie o2 sensor control.
So what other particular bits should I get, ie gas ring or gas carby, computer control, filler plug, etc. Makes and model numbers would be great.
Also does anyone know if the filler can be fitted in with the petrol filler or does it have to go somewhere else.
As much parts and fitting info I can get would be most appreciated.

although you didnt ask the question, we had a P38 1997 model on venturi LPG, was a dog when you wanted to switch fuels, less power on lpg and struggled when you flicked from gas to petrol as the ECU had adjusted itself into oblivion.
personally unless for some reason you cant, id be going for a vapour injected lpg system.

Agree.
Although anything can be done.
Call jilden reichart in Crafers West.SA.
he be able to tell you and may even supply.
No should be in phone book.
This guy works from home and is best LPG fitter in SA bar none.
He is a Land rover expert. Done 3 of mine.
I am biased but believe me, if he can't help its just not doable.
All 3 landies of mine had gas filler in with the fuel filler.
he also only uses copper lines etc.
I have not got his no ready but should be at one of my links on here some where.
Do a lpg search.
hope all goes well.
