Removing Cav type filter?

Hi, I have been outside trying to work out how to remove the element part of the filter. I got the glass bowl off but am confused about the element.

I tried undoing everything on the top but one of the bolts is jammed and I don't want to force it to hard for fear of snapping something. So before I snap it, is this what I need to get undone to remove it?

The filter itself spins freely but does not loosen or tighten.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Xav

Thanks Rovercare. It came off after a bit of a war.

I am of course having issues getitng the new one on but I might just use one of those clamps with the triggers to get it on tight enough. It is spilling out the side even with new rings on. However the rings are being a bugger to position.

thanks again.

It weally doesn't want to go on. Now it is spilling out even worse.

I can get it on if I don't put the O-ring where the filter joins the housing but I can't get it on when the seal is present..... This has me stumped.

It doesn't leak without the seal at idle but when I rev the engine it dribbles a little.

I mean all the force to puch it on in the world is not helping me.
